Nepotism is the hot topic this week after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Death. Questions are arising like :- Did Nepotism kill SSR?
- Nepotism exists only in Bollywood?
- Is Nepotism making career of people and also killing the inferiors?
Lets better start with this topic by knowing what actually Nepotism is?
If you go by the word it means practice among the person with power in providing opportunities or favoring own relatives or friends and giving them jobs.
Did this line hit you "oh I have seen these things happen actually in real life"? Exactly so, although people are only talking about Nepotism to be the topic only in Bollywood but no it exist everywhere! From business to Bollywood it exist everywhere. You think about a grocery shop owner he/she will definitely give the business to his son/daughter not someone whom he doesn't know. That is also Nepotism! Even Big companies like Reliance group ,TATA group also follow Nepotism. Do you find wrong in it? Both Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani had got their father's asset yet at present you know where Mukesh Ambani stand and where stands Anil Ambani. (Mukesh Ambani is among the top business men and Anil Ambani facing losses in Business). So ultimately we get that although Nepotism does favor in starting a career easily yet how your career will grow(or it will dip) will definitely depend on your hard work and talent not anyone else's favourism.
We have also seen people giving jobs to their own relatives and friends in other fields also. So Nepotism Exist everywhere and there is nothing wrong in Nepotism but then why are people shouting Nepotism killed actor Sushant and killing careers of Talented actors?
Well here exist one more factor- People in Power are not letting the talented actors to grow fearing that if they start growing the non talented actor's career will get dumped. In order to save them they are applying so many tactics so that the real talent doesn't evolve and people just keep enjoying low rated actors by making a big budget film filled with item numbers and glamour!
It is definitely not wrong in launching an actor's/ director's child but you become wrong when taking a signed film from an actor and giving it to someone else. In order to restrict an actor's career banning him ,showing reason that he has broke a bond and attempting hook or by crook to stop him/her from getting more work is wrong!
If we think in another way that the actors coming from outside are inferior is sarcasm because it is the non talented actors who are facing inferior complexity :) (I really don't want to go in the topic of Sushant Singh Rajput because although the media is announcing it as suicide but definitely there is more to it hidden at present.)
"You can't stop talents to grow, they will definitely find a way or the other to flourish!"
Instead of shouting against Nepotism we should against Non talent. We need to shift our choices from watching a high budget film with zero content to small budget films with content and genuine actors. We are the audience it is in our hands to bring out the deserving. We should start thinking about our choices instead of being flown away by posters and promotions. Nepotism has given us talents like Rishi Kapoor you must have admired him. So instead of Slogan being "Boycott Nepotism" it should be "Support Talent!" This topic is not restricted only to the film industry but every field in our life. Nepotism can coexist. We have to let everyone grow!
These are my personal views and perspective may differ. Anyways do share your views in the comment box and if our views match do share to others. Also give a follow up to keep supporting! :)
